More than a farm: as a faith-based initiative, we listen, honour the land and people, and meet community needs. We design training that builds practical skills, restores hope, and grows confidence. We teach stewardship rooted in faith, equipping families with sustainable farming, food safety, and health literacy so the next generation thrives. We strengthen community through shared learning, events, and cooperative projects.
We also add value to our harvests: we dehydrate produce to extend shelf life, reduce waste, and create nutritious, convenient products. Our range includes carefully prepared dried fruits, vegetables, spices, and blends made to preserve natural flavour and nutrients.
Every product, class, and initiative is guided by purpose—to nourish people, strengthen community, and serve as good stewards of the land and its resources.
Our Story
In 2019, God brought together two organizations from Holland and Canada around a unified vision for stewardship and community. In July of that year, Stand as One Ministry (Dan & Irene Schat) and Tree of Life (Christian Slager) joined forces to purchase Mitongwe Farm. Thanks to the hands and hearts of countless supporters over the years, we’ve expanded far beyond our original borders, growing into a 4 Hectare seed bank, community gardens, a thriving nursery, and a home for transformative local programs.
